Randomly won’t lock / unlock the doors, and “remote not detected” for a couple seconds before finally multiple depresses on the start button will finally crank the engine. squiresj2016 and kovacsma3.

I suspect the internal door that regulates outside air is what's causing the whistling. Next time you hear that noise try pushing the recirculation button and see how it changes the noise.
